Not arrogant, just better
Salford, England
Joined December 2010
Salford Mayor & Councillors defending a man who punched a woman in the face and has since been charged with Section 39 assault and battery. Disgusting behaviour from senior @SalfordCouncil representatives, but synonymous with what we have come to expect from the ‘tolerant left’.
Cllr John Warmisham, from Salford Your Party, said Salford council has been ‘pressured’ into its investigation by the ‘far-right’. He’s urging the council to drop its investigation into Ameen Hadi.

I know fans don’t always know best, but sacking Amorim also shows you sometimes even club executives and boardrooms don’t know what is best either. A complete and utter two year disaster by INEOS. Fans deserve better ❤️🇾🇪

Would encourage fans to listen to this. So many refreshing points raised. Says absolutely everything I think he should be saying too. You can be a fan and run a club, you just can’t also want to be popular at the same time. Strong leadership has never been more needed.
⭐️⭐️New⭐️⭐️ Tune into this weeks pod it’s a biggy we are joined by our new CEO Ryan Brierley who tells us why he returned from Oldham to take up the role? The challenges ahead in 2026, recruitment, building relationships, ST and merch updates and more https://t.co/EpBJXm6UHV

SALFORD RUGBY WILL NEVER DIE. I hope the entire Salford fan base gets behind the new club/ownership and gives it every possible chance of succeeding. Won’t be pretty for a while and fans expectations need to be measured, but we’ve got our club back. Time to rebuild. 👹

- Regularly communicates with fans openly, honestly and owns up to its mistakes. - Puts the club and its fans above personal gratification The time for fighting is over. It’s been exhausting, damaging and hurtful for many. The time for moving on and coming together is now.

My vision for Salford rugby league now? I want owner(s) that; - Lives within its means, whatever that looks like. If it’s a part time mid table Championship club, so be it. - Has proper internal board governance and structure - Treats fans with the respect they deserve.

Encouraged to see the narrative shift around Salford this week. The formation of The 1873, the planned protest, the online fan protests, the supporters trust letters, club captain leaving, the media and commentators calling people out. Feels like something will have to give.

So not only are the RFL happy for a bunch of strangers and kids to play having not had a single training session together, they’re also penalising them to play more minutes? Rules can be bent to accommodate their financial penalties, but not to suit player welfare. Disgusting.
Salford Red Devils have a coach to take them to game. Been told by multiple sources that the bill was paid centrally to ensure they had travel. Believe they're down an interchange allowance as a result of squad changes. Most of the players have met for the first time today.

Newcastle fans have given us some laughs over the last few days, haven’t they? There’s only one United. 😎

Pensions are just the half of it. Staff still not paid for July. Players not insured. Players being chased direct for medical bills that the haven’t been paid. People don’t realise the true extent of the problems. Club should have been wound up already.
Salford Red Devils’ financial issues have hit a new low with allegations that the club has not been paying its players’ pensions. (free read)

Salford vs Wakey, Sunday 17 August. Something has to happen against this ownership group. Lots of talks about coordinating something. If you’d be interested in taking action either like this post or drop me a message direct to give an idea of numbers. Enough is enough.

More daggers to the hearts of Salford fans this week. Makes you wonder how many more blows we can take before it’s one too many. Feels like we are getting close to the end.

Another competitive Super League game. Imagine thinking the solution is to add another two uncompetitive teams to the competition.

Salford owners telling the press room pre-match that the club are definitely one of the 14 teams in Super League next season. Given they have lied about absolutely everything they have ever said since being involved with the club, I’d take this with a pinch of salt.

It’s been coming for weeks now, but a considerable number of senior Salford players are refusing to play tonight vs Hull KR. I don’t blame any of them and fully support their stance.

Less than 12 months after Salford broke their stadium record for fans attending a rugby league game, in a thrilling play off eliminator after finishing the season in 4th, we seem to be getting cast aside due to no fault of the players, staff or fans. A lot of short memories.

Good job they signed Sneyd and Stone isn’t it.

My advice to the players: stand strong and don’t be lied to and played like you have all year. Fuck the club, its owners and directors. They have had long enough to resolve this and support you as a group. The consequences of these actions are not your fault, they’re others.
Big day at Salford, where I'm told TWO meetings will take place - one between the club and senior players over a grievance process, one between the club and RFL over issues around it.

Fully support the players. I love the club and even I don’t want to go anymore. I have a genuine dislike for it. Marsters and Nikorima injuries are the perfect reason why players shouldn’t play again this season without any guarantees.
Senior members of Salford Red Devils' squad have informed the club and the Rugby Football League of their intent not to play for the club against Leeds Rhinos on Friday. https://t.co/dsYWW04k5p
