A skunk is feeling thankful after Frank Houston, CVHS Head Custodian, helped him remove a paper cup that he got stuck on his head. After several tries and a little tug of war the skunk was freed and went on his way. Thanks to Frank for going above and beyond the call of duty!

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Nichole Wouters, a beloved CVHS teacher and coach, passed away on Monday after battling cancer for over 2 ½ years. She was an inspiration to many and we will never forget her.

Congrats to Ashlee Royster, DHS senior, on winning a Gold Medal at the national Scholastic Art and Writing competition. Ashlee’s painting, The Price of Freedom, was chosen from works submitted from across the country. She will accept her award at Carnegie Hall in early June.

Community College, to create a gift for Governor Whitmer. She visited the campus on Thursday, February 14, where Shelby met with her and presented the gift. Shelby completed her metalwork in just 2 days!

Dylan Guptil was named a 2021 Outstanding CTE Student. His capstone project is a cylindrical desk featuring macassar ebony veneer with a solid surface top. The project involves using CAD, CNC equipment, and skillfully working with exotic veneer and bendable materials. Congrats!
