Yesterday I went to the Kansas City museum to see Hokusai’s The Great Wave exhibit. As I turned the corner I was thrilled to find this photo of Yuzuru Hanyu. “Hanyu is known for combining power & beauty in his skating, qualities also found in Hokusai’s image” Beautiful👏🏻❤️👏🏻

With perfect turn out & balletic lines, Yuzuru’s Danny Boy reminded why I first fell in ❤️ with his skating. He is poetry on ice. So glad we got to meet other Fanyu friends & thank you @Fukuhana7 for being a wonderful friend & tour guide. It was a wonderful trip 🇺🇸➡️🇯🇵❤️❤️❤️

It was wonderful to spend the day with @Fukuhana7 in this beautiful city. We visited Yuzuru’s Olympic Monuments, the beautiful new Sendai Ryokusaikan Visitor Center, Nanikita Park and enormous Sendai Daikannon.
