This is what leads a coach to their beliefs in how the game should be played and how they plan to interact with individuals and the collective but always learning to find new ideas withoit sacrificing core principles.
A coach's game idea and principles are not only a starting point for their teams' way of playing, but also for what they value. Do your principles convey aggressive, swashbuckling & attack minded interactions. Or do they encourage control, conservative & low-risk decisions?

The perception is that we think we know what people want to know how they want to be treated over time which may or may not improve. However, asking in-depth questions opens the door to better understanding the more connected openness may occur.
What's important to the people in your environment, both individually & collectively? Who are they? Encourage the people you lead to discuss w/ you, what they care about & how they want to be treated. This creates a shared understanding of your environment, context, and culture.

Find fulfillment in the striving!.If you start trying to find happiness, fulfillment & energy in the PROCESS of pursuing your goals rather than having false expectations about what will happen when you do (or don’t) attain them, you will find more moments of joy during the quest!

As coaches, we don't guard our time enough. We train ourselves mentally and not physically. Make time daily. The best part is I get to do the gym time with my wife. #soccer #mlsnextpro #mls #usl #coaching #family #godisgood
