If you are age 25 to 65, the best way to protect against getting cervical cancer is to go for cervical screening when it’s due. Please visit the HSE website or speak to your GP for more information.

However, you can cut your risk by:.* getting the HPV vaccine in school.* having regular cervical screening.* having treatment & extra tests when advised.* getting help to quit smoking.* Breastfeeding also reduces the risk of ovarian, uterine & endometrial cancer amongst others.
