#Connecticut, the state with the latest kindergarten cutoff date, is changing its new K entry age from Jan. 1 to Sept. 1 effective in the 2024-25 school year. The Commissioner’s Roundtable at SERC is discussing it with CSDE’s Irene Parisi and Commissioner Charlene Russell-Tucker.

Meet one of our new consultants! As a UConn student, Daniela Alvarez contributed to SERC’s research in creating CT Public Act 19-12, establishing the African American/Black and Puerto Rican/Latino course of studies. She’s on our Racial Equity/Social Justice and other initiatives.
Congrats to #UConnSPP alum Daniela Alvarez for recently accepting an Educational Consultant position with @ctserc! During the 2022-2023 academic year Daniela served as a Racial Justice Workgroup Intern with the Connecticut Department of Children & Families for her #IPPInternship.
