The Falconry, at the back of the Deer Park at ⁦@AlthorpHouse⁩ - I was lucky enough to call this early 17th century folly “home”, before I took over care of the main house from my father. It may look slightly “Hammer House of Horror”, but it has a wonderful soul.

A team working at ⁦@AlthorpHouse⁩ has just found this newspaper embedded in a wall - the ⁦@DailyMirror⁩ from Monday 3 September 1934 (which was the first time Labor Day was designated a legal holiday in the USA). We will preserve it & add it to Althorp’s archives.

At the start line of the 25-mile section of #Cycle4Cynthia just now - with Ronan & 10 year old Anna - while ⁦@CatJarman⁩ started the 11-milers. ⁦@AlthorpHouse⁩ providing the backdrop to this fundraiser for ⁦@CynthiaSHospice⁩ - where I’ve been patron since 1989.

At ⁦@AlthorpHouse⁩ today we have #Cycle4Cynthia - the major annual fundraiser for ⁦@CynthiaSHospice⁩ (named after my grandmother). There are 5-, 11-, 25-, 50- & 70-mile courses. Lovely to see the 5-milers enjoying the Park while doing so much good.
