The next Next Fest is gonna be in February & I'll see you again then (If I don't see you sooner, it's been… a lot these past few months…) Also a big thank you to the devs (especially the indie devs!) who put out demos for Next Fest, you keep this shit fun & interesting! [4/4]

It's been very hard for me to pick a fav demo this time around so instead have a top 5, in no particular order: - 'Bite Night: Dine or Die' - 'Dead Format' - 'Heaven Does Not Respond' - 'The Séance of Blake Manor' - 'Umigari' [3/4]

I had a few again this time that just had like one/two things holding them back from the thread and every. single. time. it was due to the core gameplay loop. Whether it be I found them boring or just frustrating… Which that in itself is a bit frustrating but c'est la vie. [2/4]

And with THAT another Next Fest has come to a close. A very strong Next Fest this time with 17/27 demos making the thread! (But again I went thru a rigorous selection process this time around…) [1/4]

'UMIGARI | ウミガリ' (Chilla's Art) Let me hold your hand while I say this, Chilla's Art don't miss. Going into this Next Fest this was one of my most anticipated demos & it delivered! A nice slow burn "What could go wrong?!" fishing horror. I urge you to give this one a go.

'Bite Night: Dine or Die' (MyGrandfather Games) Bleh bleh bleh!!!! Vamp's back in another absolutely absurd horror comedy soon-to-be-camp-classic adventure! I had so much fun playing this one and laughed my ass off multiple times! (And the sim parts didn't feel like a slog lol.)

'SANGRA' (P. Vargas) A very solid survival horror with grungy retro aesthetics. The "survival" part was indeed "survival" with limited inventory slots & heavy resource management. I had a few moments where I ran past/around enemies to reserve ammo. Also had a solid story setup.
