There's been two lessons of the pandemic: firstly, The Good That People Do – how hospitality has responded, as we’ve been highlighting. Secondly, the sheer exuberant warmth people have for bars, cafés and restaurants. #CrumsTakeaway

Melissa: We'll hopefully be able to expand the industry much more than we realised and if we look into how we can use technology and new ways of building into younger peoples skillsets, there's chance to widen what we can all do with offerings and grow again. #CrumbsTakeaway

This Great Pause has also been the Great Accelerator: pre-existing trends amplified. Which trends are you expecting to be accelerated? Alistair: When people come into the mix they're going to be vital and hopefully there are greater opportunities for those working within.

Alistair: We've got a duty to pay back to the people that work so enthusiastically for us, despite all challenges they've been astonishing; supportive, hard-working and doing their utmost to ensure colleagues and customers are protected and venues were safe. #CrumbsTakeaway

Ben: For years the industry's had to be resilient, the moment you stand still is when you struggle and that's been our core strength, always adapting to change. There's been so many heart-warming stories out of this and certainly a shift towards helping locally. #CrumbsTakeaway

Aine: How can we put sustainability at the heart of our businesses? We're very lucky in Bristol and in the south west to have a city of active people that are willing to get involved, help us out and contribute to the community, which is great for all of us and our offerings.
