This is denied here: she wasn't persecuted for being a gypsy, at that time she didn't even have a direct history, much less had a family bond with Magneto.
In her first appearance the only backstory she had was that she was from European village where ppl wanted to burn her and call her a witch bc of her abilities which was a toxic stereotype for Romani women back then. So even if she wasnât directly called Romani, it was obvious

When we read the comics we realize that the MCU really is less problematic than Wanda from the comics whose Romani heritage is built on racist stereotypes. and when the MCU cast Elizabeth Olsen, it was being faithful to Wanda from the 00s, who was a woman with white skin.
Youâre just spreading racist claims as if her being Romani goes against Stan Lee and Jack Kirbyâs design for her, when it doesnât. It actually goes in that way. You just want to make it believable that MCU Wanda isnât inaccurate and problematic representation which it is.
