The Stephens' brothers from Doncaster went on from Wath Wanderers to play elite level football. Tragically, Arnold passed away aged 27 from pleurisy, despite recovering from it a couple of years previously. Two of 113 in 'Feeding the Wolves' charity book.

Only Wolves had more of Crook's alumni than.@BarnsleyFC .A total of 17 former Crook players made it to Oakwell, some directly, and some via other clubs. An upcoming charity book covers all 113 Wath players that made it to an elite level @BarnsleyFCStats

Mark Crook's pioneering nursery team was set up primarily to provide Wolves with players from the South Yorkshire coalfields and beyond. But that did not stop a large number of Crook's players ending up at Wolves's neighbours Walsall. @WFCOfficial
