Taff have been creative with ‘The Things We Build’ topic over the weeks. We’ve made dioramas of famous landmarks and after deciding on our own Wonders of the World,we’ve been making them on @PlayCraftLearn. What can you see? #timetobecreative #allinatopic

We also got creative in our writing and problem solving in Taff too. We created our own Room of Wonders for the text ‘The Nowhere Emporium’ and used the Ownders of the World as a stimuli to test if perimeters are always bigger than the area. Turns out they’re not! #usingthetheme

‘The Things We Build’ began its construction in Taff,taking ideas of the learners to drive the topic forward. We’ve looked at drawing 3D shapes for planning designs, considered how houses are modified for disabled residents and used the 7 Wonders of the World to learn perimeter!

Taff had the opening outing of the Spring term with @Caer_Adventures and took a visit to Cosmeston Lakes. We enjoyed orienteering around the lakes and touring the medieval village, a link to our ‘The Things We Build’ topic. #outandabout #movingtokeepwarm

Super proud of my little hosts this week! All of the learners volunteered for a role in supporting the running of this event and their personalities and skills shone as their confidence grew throughout the morning! #practicallearningexperiences.
This week we held our Christmas Fayre and it was a huge success,thank you to everyone who came! Our year 11 learners helped host the event by welcoming our visitors and taking a register of attendees, contributing towards a successful event and their own @ASDANeducation studies.
