As the general public is well aware about the cyber crime trends, checks and balances have been introduced at various levels, so that the facility of eFIR etc. provision can not be misused by any miscreant.

With regard to ZERO FIR, so far more than 100such FIRs have been registered in different Police Stations of UT of J&K. Out of these 83 FIRs were transferred to different police stations outside J&K.

Internet (Eforms)and more than 70 such complaints have been converted into FIRs. As per the section 173 BNSS, any complaint (electronic) received by police shall be entered in the records however, the complainant has to sign that complaint (electronic) within three days.
