This pocket sized #barnsleyfc v #readingfc is only 11 days younger than me, 1-0 defeat at the end of a season where we played 6 games (including 5 away) between 4-18 May and avoided relegation on goal average (sending Bradford PA down) @TheTilehurstEnd @cribsie @STARReading

Just to prove my appeals sometimes work: As direct result of me asking for original #readingfc team pictures the other day, I've been able to add these stunning press photos from the 1960s.

Original #readingfc team photos from the 70s to the 90s. These are my biggest collecting passion, so if you have any old postcards or photos for sale, please give me a shout ⚽️

As there's no #readingfc game today, I've been going through some stuff. I have boxes full of things I either got at the time or have been given, and thought I'd share some of it.

This terrific photo article featuring all 11 players appeared in the 'Daily Sketch' prior to Reading's FA Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday in 1929. The Biscuit boys shocked that season's League Champions with a 1-0 win at Elm Park #readingfc

The Reading sub-set from Taddy Prominent Footballers 1907, which I collected by trawling through card fairs many years ago. Took me a few years to complete, but I got there in the end! #readingfc

Record Watch update: It's 40 years since #readingfc set the all-time league record for consecutive wins at the start of a season with 13 back in 1985. As it stands, just two teams have 100% records in the top four divisions: Liverpool and Middlesbrough.

Today's #readingfc v #PVFC programme is ancient history, Feb '52 and a 5-1 win (Henley 2, Bainbridge 2, Lewis), none from Ron Blackman who got 39 that season in a 2nd place finish (but no promotion), would take that score today please @TheTilehurstEnd @cribsie
