Only time for one game this past weekend and taught 1960:The Making of the President to a friend of mine. Was hoping to get this one plus 13 Days: The Cuban Missile Crisis and Watergate in. Took us longer to play 1960 than I had planned. Had fun though. @JasonDCMatthews

Game round 3 comes to an end with the Soviets maxed out on prestige but unable to de-escalate the Defcon track pushing the world into Nuclear war for a Soviet loss.

Couple of games setup for a gaming day tomorrow. A friend headed my way and we will get these two in and hopefully 1 to 2 more.

Fun couple of quick plays of “Pacific War 1942 Solitaire” by @worth2004. Lost the 1st game badly with about 9 points and won the last game with 21 points. Fun little quick playing travel game.

Both boats made it back to port unscathed and took 25,000 tons of enemy shipping to the bottom. Great game.

Although the escorts arrived quickly I dove deep with both boats since neither had any damage and was able to get below the limit of the early war depth charges.

Then the luck changed and I had several missed shots and a couple of strikes that were dud torpedos (two duds on one large) ship. The escorts were called on in droves.

My boats started out with a lot of success. And sank 4 ships once they got into the middle of the convoy. It didn’t hurt that it was night and bad weather making the hunting easier.

I played the 1st month of the early war and almost immediately I had a destroyer after me (but it was going to take a few turns to arrive) so i crash dived at first and then rose to periscope depth and torpedoed him.

Great time playing Wolfpack from @gmtgames I did 1 patrol with 2 U-boats, but this post will be long to share the after action report.

Not a lot left to see in this pic, but it was a lot of fun and a very tight game. I held Tobruk as the Allies but lost Alexandria by 1 point to lose the game in the 10th and final round. Really nice, quick playing, light rules, but with some strategic depth, game. @worth2004

Fun time gaming with my friend Jeff this weekend. He’s just starting with historical/war games. I’ve been teaching him different types of games, keeping the rules light for now. We played Black Orchestra where we defeated Hitler and Memoir 44, which Jeff won. #boardgames
