Hi everyone! I know it's been a while, but you can find me over on that other site. The one where you look out the window and see a blue sky. (Sorry for being obtuse, but Elon will censor this post otherwise. )

If you're up in the Seattle/Vancouver BC area, I'm going to be at the "Interim Computer Festival" this coming Saturday September 30. (I should be there most of the day). Why don't you stop by and check out the retro goodness and say "Hi!". More info:

This past August I attended VCF Southeast in Atlanta, part of the Southern Friend Gaming expo. While there I gave my first ever talk in front of a live audience! I titled it: "How Retro Computers Ignited My Passion for Electronics Repair.".

Typo on my part: It's the Sharp MZ-80K.

Shared by a viewer: The 1979 Sharp MK-80 appearance was pretty PET like, but its internal design was rather different: a Z80 CPU instead of a 6502, no Basic in ROM, only a 2 KB monitor and a mechanical keyboard, better than the first PET keyboard.

Here is a mildly interesting leftover from when Mac OS supports CRTs.

Eight cans of 90s-tastic Freeze Spray -- I guess I'm good for the rest of my life.

Does anyone know of a case I can 3D print for a Mac SE motherboard? Just something with port openings that's big enough to hold the motherboard a PicoATX PSU to power it.

Ugh, the Pi version of RISC OS seems incompatible with PNY 16gb SD cards. Tried two with the same issue. Tried a Samsung 32gb card and that worked normally. How awesome. .

Wanted to try out RISC OS on a Pi, so created a SD card using the Pi Imager and stuck it in a Raspberry Pi 2B. It boots to a flashing cursor and nothing more. Hitting Escape a couple times drops me to this a splash screen. Pretty lame.

Ok I was able to convert these A2R files to WOZ format so I can use them with ADTPro to make some disks.

Oh looks like I found a disk image for it on this entry! Not to figure out what A2R files are. Oh AppleSauce device. Ah ok! Now to figure out how to convert those to normal DSK files. .

I've come across an aGen 5Mhz function generator for the Apple II -- but I am unable to find the manual or software for it. This card was made by Northwest Instrument Systems here in Beaverton, Oregon. Can the community help unearth the software for this neat old card?

Yes, older ATX PSUs often output both -12V and -5V. Great for use with old vintage PCs.

I just published a video on the whole "third channel saga." I'm happy it's resolved, but I wish we could have reached a resolution in a different way. I really appreciate the community support on this as I don't think it would have been fixed without it.

I wanted to give a huge thanks to everyone who get angry with me about this situation, which clearly helped!.

I woke up this morning to find my 3rd channel restored! Yay, I guess. What's funny is I made a video about this saga last night which I was going to release when I woke up. I'm still going to release it, but will re-edit to add a foreword and an update at the end.

@craig1black Looks like your 3rd channel is back up and running! . Can't even imagine the frustration, but thanks for providing all the info in this thread for @TeamYouTube to follow up on 🙏.
