I was wrong, it is a mass layoff. They laid off entire development teams, not only russians, but ukrainians as well.

This is not a mass layoff. This is discrimination and ABBYY has to answer for this. These people left Russia because they didn't want to support the war in Ukraine. Now, they don't have a job to pay for rent and support their families.

Hey fellow journalists, I could use some help. There's a story that needs amplification. ABBYY Software has just fired several dozen russian citizens that it previously relocated to Cyprus, Belgrade, and Budapest. Just because they have russian passports.

I can't get over the fact that some coffee shops consider Joy Division's "Love will tear us apart" an easy listen that's perfect for a casual atmosphere. They also play Audioslave's "Like a stone" in gyms. I lifted that barbell and wept.

It has been a year of atrocities, war crimes, murders, hate, and other nightmares. I never could imagine a world like that. The good shall prevail in the end. I only wish it costs as few lives as possible.
