Here's a link to a fun podcast that I did a few weeks ago. The interviewer was really cool. We talked about authentic success and living an character-infused life. Authentic Success and Leadership (Feat. Corey Ciocchetti)

Purdue students are always an awesome audience. I am so impressed with how diligently you’re taking your studies and your future. Just make sure the ladder you’re climbing is always leaning against the right wall.

6/ Hang in there . . . this is normal enough and part of the Constitution. America is stronger than this. The ethics of all this are a completely different story and could take up semesters in my ethics classes.

5/ If a super-majority of Americans want the President out . . . it will happen via conviction in the Senate or resignation like Nixon. If not, it will end via acquittal like Clinton. Either way, you are likely to be dissatisfied with the whole thing as I am.

4/ Courts don't want to intrude on this inter-branch fight and you really don't want that anyway. The Chief Justice will walk across the street to preside over this trial soon. That will be awkward enough, just watch.

3/ The fact that it's messy, overtly partisan, and random at times is all part of the process by design. It's extraordinary and Congress sort of gets to make its own rules here. It's a separate branch of government that has partisanship baked into its essence.

2/ It's a legislative super-referendum. If you are for or against impeachment in this case . . . that's okay. You are taking part in the informal phase of the formal process run by your representatives, clumsy and frustrating as it may be.

1/ The House doesn't have to charge the President with an actual crime and a majority vote is enough at this level. This is a political process where the public decides - through their elected representatives - if the charges are enough to remove a sitting President from office.

/2 Those folks are more productive, creative, loyal, & fun. But, until bosses recognize that you can work hard, be an asset, & still place your job a bit lower than your family, you will have to balance the tug of war between work & family – a battle work need not always win.

There is a professional cost to putting family first. Bosses – like most people – act out of self-interest when they cringe at your priorities. Just expect that, it's rational. However, workplaces are better when people come to work happy & fulfilled w/ their priorities intact.
