Last year, our crews responded to 703 hoax calls. So far in 2025, weโ€™ve already received 458 hoax calls - and the year isnโ€™t over yet. Every hoax call ties up an ambulance that could be saving a life. Please, think before you dial.

A stroke is a life-threatening medical condition. The word FAST will help you recognise when a stroke is happening and what you need to do. Call 112 or 999 immediately. The sooner a person gets treatment, the less damage is likely to happen.

Injury units treat recent injuries (less than 6 weeks old) that are not life-threatening and unlikely to need admission to hospital. They can treat many of the injuries people go to the ED with. If they can't help, they'll direct you to where you can go to get the right help.

Measles is a serious viral infection that spreads very easily. Make sure you get the MMR vaccine before you travel abroad. Even, if youโ€™re not sure if youโ€™ve had the vaccine before, itโ€™s still safe to get it to make sure youโ€™re protected. Learn more: https://t.co/L99iDVKg4q

Many young people are out celebrating the return to college recently. If you're out this weekend mind yourself, mind your friends and never ever drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Please, only call an ambulance in an emergency.
