The ‘notwithstanding’ provision of the Charter has emerged to become the greatest threat to human, labour & other rights, not only in Ontario, in this moment, but across the country. The Ford government is using it as a free pass ...

I'm working on Relationship-based education and listening to Dr.D Tanter. New learning: direct teaching of social skills doesn't work. Kids need to be coached in real time. #relationshipsfirst

I'm working on my first twenty days of back to school inspired by @jennchamberland and "No More I'm Done." I'm done with being worried about handouts being pretty. TY Jen for the simple 20day planner and TY for encouraging just plan-old-paper for writing. My wallet says TY too.

“Basically, John Paul Minda has produced a grand survey of the brain. It’s one that he hopes people will ‘pick up and read during summer vacations’,” writes Martin Cohen in his review of “How to Think” #THEbooks https://t.co/dya0t68o6f

The Doug Ford Conservatives are a threat to public education. We need to stop them from being re-elected. Sign up to connect with an ETFO organizer now!

Well, this is concerning: Rising COVID-19 cases in northern Ontario schools raise concerns as reopenings set for Monday
thestar.com
As 280,000 children return to in-person learning on Monday, rising cases of the virus in northern schools have generated concerns around the province’s school reopening plan.

Let’s get back to school. Especially for the little ones. A friend pointed out that daycares are open. So why not kinder? But we need to reduce class size. How about half time. We ha e the two cohorts ready. This would give parents a break and still keep everyone safer, no?

Good read but no answers. One study says schools can reopen with safety measures. Umm... when can we be honest and say that those safety measures were barely in place to begin with? Ok we had/have masks. But mostly physical distancing is impossible. Think eating times and recess.

⭐️⭐️ BREAKING NEWS ⭐️⭐️ Only Ontario schools in regions with less than 40 weekly cases per 100,000 are returning next week. Data-based. Good call.
