4/ Limited Audience: The size of the Malaysian film market is relatively small compared to other countries in the region. This means that even if a film is successful in Malaysia, it may not generate enough revenue to sustain the filmmakers.

3/ Distribution: Getting films distributed and shown in theaters can be difficult in Malaysia, especially for independent filmmakers. Many cinemas are controlled by a small number of large companies, which can make it difficult for smaller films to get screen time.

4/ Present: LPF now. Today, LPF is in charge of vetting films and deciding whether films are suitable for Malaysian viewing. They are in charge of cutting any "unsuitable" scenes from the film, or banning it from being viewed in cinemas.
