Here’s the original McDonaldland poster from 1972, right before the characters got a major redesign. It even features a rare appearance from the four-armed EVIL GRIMACE.

The MAYOR MCCHEESE BAG was McDonald’s second attempt at a kids meal (right after the Captain Crook Sea Bag), running from April through June 1975. The meal included a cheeseburger, small fries and McDonaldland Cookies, all at regular menu prices… no toy.
