I was also told students are still allowed to come into the library and study, allegedly there are some on the upper floors doing that but I wasn’t able to see them.

Inside, I wasn’t allowed to take pictures but there’s plywood up against windows to what seems to be preparations for law enforcement, spray paint on walls, and broken glass. There is also a medic station and a place where participants can get free food.

I spoke to one person living inside the library who is part of the encampment and said he is not a student but came out to support the cause. It’s unclear how many other people inside are not part of the PSU student body.

Currently at PSU: Dozens of alleged students are still barricaded inside the main library on campus demanding the university publicly call for a cease fire in Gaza and for the school to cut ties with companies that do business with Israel. @fox12oregon

UPDATE: The fire has been put out with no reported injuries. A spokesperson for Timberline Lodge says the cause of the fire is still very much under investigation but it’s suspected that embers coming from the large fireplace in the main room could possibly be to blame.
