I don’t think the Overton window works, politicians may have shifted vastly right but the general public stays to the left of all the mainstream parties. Nationalisation is one of the most popular (and common sense) policies but to Westminster it’s radical.

To all the gb news watchers this is an ACTUAL example of cracking down on free speech.
UPDATE: Officers have arrested more than 20 people on suspicion of offences under the Terrorism Act 2000. They have been taken into custody. Palestine Action is a proscribed group and officers will act where criminal offences are committed.

Just a reminder that in 2019 the Tory gov were considering proscribing extinction rebellion, but they didn’t. You could argue their train gluing era terrorised the public, much more than the group who can’t be named did. Starmers Labour once again being worse than Tories.

I don’t know I think high business rates, unaffordable rent, private equity and leaving the largest single market has blighted town centres more. Broken windows theory also applies to boarded up shop fronts Keith.
For too long, theft and anti-social behaviour has blighted town centres. It shouldn’t be like this. Our Plan for Change is putting officers back on the beat where you can see them, so businesses can thrive, and you can shop safely.
