I left HDFC bank in 2006 n did not vest by ESOPs. Got carried away by 25% salary hike n switched. Realised my mistake in 2010 & hv been buyin 10 HDFC shares every mth for 9yrs. A colleague who stayed back has ESOPs worth 15Cr. Lesson learnt-Never Interrupt d compounding process!.

FY25 loss in Derivatives 1.05 lac crore .FY24 -75000 cr . majority of this is tax payin middle class. This partly explains slowdown in urban & semi urban consumption. I knw of people who left their Jobs n started full time tradin. Invest more ,Trade less n seek professional help.

60% equity , 25-30% long dated govt bonds and some exposure to gold and commodities can be a good asset allocation to consider. More importantly return expectations need to be toned down. U cannot make 20%-25% returns at 21 times Nifty 50 and 35 times Nifty midcap index.

Almost 10 years back when I started my entrepreneurial journey , entire Mutual fund industry AUM was 12 lac crore. Today SBI MF alone crossed 12 lac cr & industry is at 72 lac cr. I wont be surprised if SBI MF & SBI bank assets are same in next 10 years ~ .100 lac crore each :).
