And now Tesla is the most productive automaker on the continent. I assumed this would happen but it’s a bit surreal for it to be official after so much time with the odds stacked so high against us. Proud of all the people who made this happen!

11 months later, production wasn’t going well, we could only make a few hundred cars per week and it seemed like everyone was betting against Tesla. We got creative and built a new production line in a tent that allowed us to start to hit our delivery goals. 2/n

This was the night we started deliveries of Model 3. After the party, I was chatting with the exec responsible for scaling up production and he said it would be the hardest thing Tesla had ever tried. “we’ll build 100 a week, then 1k, then 10k, it’s just going to take time” 1/n
