Thank you Delegate Charkoudian!!!! We had an amazing time presenting to our delegates, senators, and governor's office staff yesterday in Annapolis. We and MD students & teachers are hoping for - or more like demanding :) - funds for SB-124 this year!!!
The incredible student #compost activists are back - with thousands of postcards from students across MD filling the compost bin. They presented them to MDE Secretary McIlwain as they advocate for funding for the school compost grant program that my 2022 legislation created.

Today we started a Composting and Food Recovery Program at Daly Elementary. The student were very engaged and learned quickly. We need to find a way to fund more composting programs at schools! @compostologymd @MDEnvironment @MyGreenMC @EDGreenRibbon
