I just collect old stuff. It's not hoarding if it's functional, right? Can also be found as compgeke on the blue sky.

You have to embrace the "I got mine, fu" mindset to truly understand.

I'm putting out an SOS for anyone in the community that knows SNES hardware like the back of their hand. I don't mean like installing mods or replacing capacitors, I need someone who knows a SNES like the back of their hand and could diagnose a bad CPU, bad smd transistor, etc 🧵

One of the worst ebay things is having to wait 2 weeks for them to decide you can mark an item "not received". Like cool, I've got a tracking number but no activity in over a week and no response from seller on messages sure seems like I'm not getting the item.

This is a friendly reminder that if you've been thinking "Hey I should swap the UPS batteries" now's the time to do it. Before the power's out.

Got a $75 Powerbook 2400 from YAJ. Has the typical polarizer and backlight issues, but it came with a surprise!

Been using my Kodak DCS330, an early DSLR from 1999. This thing slaps.

We really just need to get rail for freight going more. I'm tired of trucks. Pretty far down my respected professions.

If someone wants to drive under 70, they don't have to do it in the left lane. They can just go in the right and camp out all they want and let everyone else set cruise for 70 (this is where people start foaming it's a limit not a minimum).

You can actually stop at places like vista points along the roadway, they aren't just filled with trucks sleeping. You can have smoother roads with less potholes. See

Imagine: you can actually maintain something close to the speed limit. Not do 30-40 under for hours on end as they leap frog each other. You don't have to deal with the dramatic speed differences as they decide to just merge over.

After another almost 8 hour drive, I'm once again preaching that we can get rail just for the sole purpose of removing trucks from the highway.
