A synopsis for ‘SPIDER-MAN 4’ has been released:
“Set 5 years after the events of ‘No Way Home’, Peter discovers MJ now has a family with a man named Paul. Peter must find a way to destroy their marriage and rebuild his own relationship with her before it’s too late.”
After Guardians Vol 3 I’m so done with the MCU…until Deadpool 3 I mean, excited to see Wolverine again but after that? Done…aside from Spider-Man and Daredevil: Born Again, those are my two favorite marvel characters, but after THAT?…Fantastic Four sounds kinda cool actually…
Paul will be played by Jason Mamoa. On the casting, Director Edgar Wright has said:
“We wanted someone that could capture the character’s natural likability and look like they could actually kill Tom Holland.”
He also confirmed that Paul will be revealed to be a Kang variant.
When asked about his role and the progression of his character, Holland said:
“Its wild, mate. It’s a whole new territory. We’ve seen Peter as a regular kid and an Avenger but now we get to see him take on a different role, the father who stepped up.”
This was the exact moment I realized the Sorcerer that turned black holes into butterflies and the Witch that warped the entire reality of a small town would not be showing up in this movie.
Jordan Fisher is apparently in talks to play MJ and Paul’s 9-year-old son, Owen, while their 8-Year-old daughter, Stephanie, is expected to be fully created using CGI. She will have no speaking lines.
Tom also spoke about the relatability of the character:
“Peter’s motivation in this one is completely understandable. He’s experienced life without Zendaya, he’s miserable and he’s had enough. Most people can understand that”
“not me tho, y’all stay safe” He added.
I keep seeing people go “Good. No one wants this” and it only reinforces the theory that modern MCU fans don’t understand the concept of simply not watching something they think isn’t for them personally.
A project for Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau was reportedly in the works at Marvel Studios.
It got scrapped due to ‘THE MARVELS’ underperforming at the box office.
Her story will now continue in other
#MCU
projects.

Say what you want about the MCU but their cultural exploration is one of the best things about the franchise. Especially with cultures that typically aren’t focused on in superhero projects or blockbusters in general.
This is what kills a franchise. The fanbase that complained about too much content will ignore any role they had in this. Fantastic Four, X-men and Blade will distract them from the fact that this is a bad idea and they won’t care. We’ll see even LESS of characters than before.
Marvel Studios is reportedly trying to take less risks and focusing on more guaranteed hits.
Movies like 'CAPTAIN MARVEL 3' or 'ANT-MAN 4' won’t happen.

Just watched episode 2 of
#SecretInvasion
. It’s crazy how the show jumped in quality in the span of a week. If they keep it up, this will easily be the best Marvel Studios show. The dialogue was especially great this episode. Great hour of television. 10/10
It’s kinda crazy how The Marvels got so much backlash for no reason and is now seeing a resurgence in interest because people decided to do the bare minimum of actually watching the movie.
Marvel studios was never focused on “quantity over quality”, you just personally didn’t like the quality of the stuff they put out. There’s a difference.
No personal projects to promote. Support the WGA Strike so that writers get paid what they deserve and so we don’t end up with this or something worse as the plot of the next Spider-Man movie.
I’m never letting go of the belief that the MCU Spider-Man franchise would have been much better if they kept around the guys that did Spider-Man: Homecoming. (Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley)
Since it seems like Kahhori is going to interact with Strange and likely other English speaking characters, I just hope they don’t make her speak English but instead make it so everyone she interacts with is just able to understand her.

Season 2 Finale was incredibly fun. It’s silly but Carter & Kahhori using multiversal weapons to defeat Strange was hype. Only having two main protagonists was a good idea. Making Strange the villain worked perfectly and his motivation and plan were solid. 9.9/10
Huh? But Twitter told me Thor’s helmet was entirely CGI because a shadow slightly covered Chris’ eye in the one scene he had it on for and Twitter is never wrong. I’m so confused.
@Croc_Block
“In service of the character” what are you talking about? I swear. Y’all can’t think of genuine criticisms to have of this show so you resort to saying random stuff in the hope that it seems like you have something to add to the conversation
#WhatIf
Season 2 Ep 8 is my favorite one so far. It captures the concept of the show the best and uses it to its full potential. It was awesome seeing a wildly different take on the MCU characters. Captain Carter rules and Tony was hilarious. I want a whole 1602 show now. 10/10
Marvel Studios is reportedly still searching for characters and actors who can carry its universe forward after the exits of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.

People will go “I don’t care about these Z-listers, just give me the X-Men” and then in the same breath go “it’s the MCU job to get me to care about these characters.”
It’s not the MCU job to force you to do something you clearly don’t want to do.
@Soy_cracker
The fact that your mind immediately thought to compare this alternate universe version of Clark where he neglects his family and is a drug addict to Snyder’s Superman says a lot.
Not going to even joke.
1. Bob the strike YOU promoted prevented the actors from being able to promote the film
2. Anyone about to agree with him needs to understand that more “supervision” is the same oversight you guys constantly complain about impeding on creatives.
Bob Iger says
#TheMarvels
failed at the box office because the amount of content being created at Disney, making it more difficult to maintain quality:
“‘The Marvels’ was shot during Covid, and there wasn't enough supervision on set [from executives].”

The fact that this brick was originally a snowglobe and no one noticed but somehow everyone “noticed the CGI glasses” which were actually real only re-confirms that people really over-exaggerate their ability to tell the difference 💀
The misogynistic wave of hate Captain Marvel got hit with in 2019 is crazy because I STILL see people insisting that the character has no development and shows no emotion.
The MCU fanbase wants every single project to cater to them. That’s a large part of the issue. That’s why they act like skipping projects is a chore because in their minds it SHOULD be for them.
Characters die. Characters get old. Characters change. Characters are meant to evolve. They’re not mean to change and then immediately reboot back to a status quo because you can’t let go of them.

Season 2 Ep 6 is an incredibly beautiful original story. The use of music and language was perfect, making the episode feel more authentic. There’s still more I would’ve liked to see from her character but this was really cool introduction to Kahorri and her story. 9.2/10
I hate the binge model so much. Let stories breathe.
Also, the only reason the daily release thing kinda works for What If?… is because it’s an anthology series.
I feel like the MCU is the only franchise where the audience will go into a movie labeled a comedy and marketed as one and then use “There were jokes every 5 minutes” as a complaint.
Notably there are 0 tweets from either of these guys about the last episode which, unlike this one they’ haven’t seen, IS available to watch.
This is whats wrong with the MCU. Unoriginal clout tweets aren’t valid criticism and we should stop pretending they are.
What happened to The Marvels?
Despite being well received critically, the film suffered financially causing a lot of annoying discourse. Most of which lack context and nuance as to why the film underperformed. Here’s why it did… (🧵 A thread)
It’s crazy how the MCU’s biggest competitor at this point isn’t even DC, it’s the idealized version of the franchise from 10 years ago that people have in their heads.
@4thSnake
“I lose my anger so often due to never having to control it that I constantly kill people”
“I’ve had to control my anger to just survive daily so I’m already pretty good at it”
That’s a more accurate version of the conversation that happened in the show
It’s weird how willing people are to lie about rape because they don’t like a female led MCU show. Incredible. It’s amazing to see such a serious topic be thrown around on Twitter in the place of actual criticism. 😐
