We remember the ones we lost, but we also celebrate the extraordinary kindness that was shown 20 years ago. These words were displayed on the desk of Mayor Claude in Gander through to his retirement in 2017.

Inspired by the Newfoundlanders who opened their hearts and homes to strangers, @KevinTuerff, one of the passengers who was stranded in Gander 20 years ago and the inspiration for the character Kevin T in Come From Away, began Pay It Forward 9/11.
