Howard County has a Republican candidate for County Executive that is unable to disassociate himself from his fellow Republicans. The work is nowhere near done.

The Republican Primary Election results make the work glaringly clear: democracy was on the ballot in 2020, and it’s on the ballot again in 2022. Maryland has a Republican candidate for Governor that is deeply aligned with the most divisive president in our nation’s history.

My work will not stop. I still plan on supporting Democrats everywhere in Howard County, and beyond, in every capacity I can.

The late Congressmen Elijah Cummings would often say, “When we’re dancing with the angels, the question will be asked, ‘what did we do to make sure we kept our democracy intact?’”

It goes without saying that I want to thank all of the donors, followers, and supporters of my campaign. And of course, my family and friends that have been by my side throughout this journey. I wouldn’t have been able to do *any* of this without you. I am forever in your debt.

I am disappointed by the results of the election, but I am thankful to live in a place where democracy is sacred and the voice of the people can be heard by the power of the ballot.

Between a tornado warning in the afternoon and incoming thunderstorms this evening, I’m glad I could fit some doorknocking in while the skies are clear!

HoCo is home to a wide array of local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations that make our county a stronger and better place to live. The Democratic Central Committee should continue to partner with these local organizations to grow and support our HoCo community.
