Our math block was spent outside with Mme Mundell during Day 2 of our Learning on the Land project. We played patterns with dogwood sticks, a guessing game with sticks behind our backs using our 5 and 10 anchors & so much more. 🩵⭐️ @EcoleMaple_LDSB

Our week with Mme Mundell learning on the land began with a walk and visit to the woods. We used our senses and were quiet. We shared our observations & wondered about the changes we noticed. How lucky we are to learn outside ! @EcoleMaple_LDSB @LimestoneDSB

Our visual arts invitations included 3 options embracing “impermanence” : painting on rocks with water; mandalas with natural elements; pictures or sculptures of animals with natural elements. We created accepting it would change. Big ideas in Gr 1 @EcoleMaple_LDSB @takemeoutside
