(My caveats: A&H don't produce yet, so I've subbed in the very reliable and trustworthy Rothman. I include 1-2 games from last year in my calculation for Colley, so it's less noisy. That's all gone by the 8th game though.)

Taking a look at the BCS computers this week, the computers are still very bullish on Notre Dame (understandably: two *top 5* losses, total of 4 points). But humans will dislike that. Because of it, they would drop Oregon out of the bracket. USF/Memphis in two weeks is massive.

Fans of team that employs Hugh Freeze and is honoring Cam Newton tonight on a field named for Pat Dye are upset about rule enforcement.

I still think Sean McDonough is one of the better college football announcers out there but man, those moments he gets overly confident about things that actually aren't obvious really make him sound sour.

When they get rid of divisions so you don't have Ohio State vs. Northwestern as the Big Ten Championship game and you can have real powers go head to head instead and then the Big Ten Championship game is Ohio State vs. Northwestern

A tiny detail I love about this: over at the bottom of the last columns, the score is pretty much reported like Australian football scores are reported these days. I see Hawaii 3-3, Utah State 3-2; or 21-20.
Hawai'i hosted Utah State in 1927. This is a headline from the UTAH STATE paper. "Victory Laughs at Stubborn Farmers as Hawaii Wins by One-Point Margin." We don't write them like this anymore.

Frequent reminder: decisions by “the NCAA” are actually made by the presidents and athletic directors. That group of people, largely, is not about competition or letting the “little guys have their chance” (see 🏈). They’re about money. Whatever makes the bag larger, they’ll do.
Per reports, the NCAA is leaning towards a model that places the 12 lowest AQs into the "Opening Round" along with the last 12 at large selections, as part of the 76-team proposal. That would mean tough league champs play early. Last year's Opening Round teams would've been:

Did you know @WilliamShatner was Commodore's spokesman? That's right, Captain Kirk himself, Mr. William Shatner, was Commodore's official spokesman for the groundbreaking PET and Commodore VIC-20. Pictured alongside him is Michael Tomczyk, the legendary "VIC-Czar" who

Hail in Laramie for the UNLV game tonight was not on my bingo card… Jonah Field is already covered and looks like a late season snow storm.
