meanwhile promoters here prefer booking US artists at a loss rather than local producers and then complain "uuuuh so the scene is dying because we don't have budget to make shows anymore" no local shows = no promo = no hype/demand abroad = no visa
The world for a non USA dubstep dj just got a whole lot harder. It’s near impossible now to play the US, i paid about 9k $ just to get a visa with everything in total, and now they are asking another 2805$. How can you ever break-even as a non headliner act in the US now..

Stoked for some realness. Not everything that looks shiny is in fact shiny. With every incredible show, several shows that suck come a long. With every great release, a messed up release out of your control comes a long. With every money rain, a long time without proper income.
it’s really hard to love a scene when it has shown you time and time again it does not really love you back. I’m legit about to be evicted from my home because I’ve gotten so few bookings that I’ve not been able to pay my rent for several months. I can’t do this shit anymore.

Adding: I worked with him way before Hamish was in touch with him. I second handedly experienced multiple accounts of horrible behavior towards different people in the industry and more. I tried to not get involved because of my mental health but it's over I think.
