I think there are a ton of startups that may integrate sdk’s or some other abstraction and I think there are some older institutions (non tech companies with tech aspects) that will do the same, but will still need traditional devs. I’m not advocating that you don’t learn, more.

I’m curious about something. If you work at a startup - how impactful has the ai wave been on your product (not dev productivity)? I agree that we’ve reached the tipping point on using the tools to 🚢, but I’m not convinced that being an AI engineer is the only path forward.

Ngl chat, the prospects seem dismal enough for me to consider just locking back in and shoving the idea of satisfaction from my gig to the side while hoping things turn around eventually. I ain’t got a quitting bone in my body, but I’m also not foolish.
