Btw, did you know there is an open source grant bounty?. It supports individuals and small teams developing open-source software for Polkadot by offering up to $30,000 per team, with milestone-based payments. Just in case you're still lacking the necessary motivationπŸ˜‰.

After you've completed the learning phase, a bootcamp awaits you, even with incentives. That's probably where things really get started. I haven't started it yet, but I will. Anyway, what stops you?

Nevertheless, it's insightful for me to see how relatively few lines of code can lead to the desired goal. Well, it's the very first milestone. Building an NFT marketplace, for example, seems already much more complex.πŸ₯²

The courses are, unsurprisingly, quite extensive in some cases. It's a bit like a cookbook. You follow steps that lead to the goal while you playfully develop a feel for the subject matter. But tbh, I still lack some necessary basic knowledge even for the beginner courses.

While some lines seem abstract, I keep seeing structures that make sense, even to me. Step by step, we create a wallet software. From creating the GUI to the seed phrase section. At the end, there's another quiz to check what you've learned.

After the basics, there's a section where copy/paste code for the terminal is provided under instruction. I don't understand much what I'm doing, but the implementation is still easy. However, I've noticed that programming isn't as simple as writing a tweetπŸ˜…

Now I follow brief, clear training courses, which are immediately followed by multiple-choice questions to test what you've learned. Everything is explained in a clear and understandable way. As a non-dev, I don't feel overwhelmed.

This will open a menu with different courses. Their structure is such that it briefly presents what you will learn and what previous experience is required. I'll first look at the basics of a wallet API and how the Polkadot network can be integrated into a project.
