I really relate to this. I woke up from a bad dream and this was the first thing I read — it honestly comforted me a lot. I keep thinking about something Kihun once said: “When something begins this happily, you feel like the happiness will last.” Holding on to that today.

And with each concerts and each symphonies, they keep everyone guessing on what they would do next, how far can they broaden the horizon. In this new year, I channel the words of Kihun: Since the beginning is happy, they will stay happy for a very long time.

The Alchemist was their balance between pop and ballad, yet never felt too modernized for my standard. Mirror is their way of tackling idol concept genre, and now we get Alive, which feels closer to scene#1 imo by balancing between crossover and adult contemporary songs.

And through each concert and concepts, they bring something new to the tables yet never lost their own musical identity. You got the first taste of their venture into the world in Scene#1, then the eclipse moon trilogy to potray relationship and loneliness…

Its hard work put into the song vocal arrangement, working with the lyricist and producer to find their own color and rhythm. Their original songs give you the impact of gigantic and bombastic sound, as if to sound we are here, we are making history.

And as I fall deeper into the lore by listening to their first album scene#1, i thought to myself: these guys are truly talented and dedicated to the crossover music genres. It’s not slapping the popular crossover songs and call it a day…

I wasn’t particularly keen on music covers or group covers, as my prejudice went, oh isn’t this just using other people music to promote for yourself? And i’m glad that lapo proved me wrong. They executed the song with their own touch, but never lost the magic of the original.
