I'm not here to be liked. I'm here to share my opinions. About sport, music, & all sorts of ultimately irrelevant things. Don't take it all so seriously.

Is the championship structure, and therefore its league system, still contingent on unresolved HMRC winding up petitions either side of th'hill?

@AaronBower How about when he claimed to be a qualified referee who had officiated games, but backed himself into a corner of either being a liar or breaching safeguarding?

Today, I can confirm that I am tied on Tour de France titles with Lance Armstrong, AND have the same number of royal titles as Andrew Windsor.

After kinda thinking the last 24 hours would be a rugby league shitshow, I do feel a bit like it's worked out OK. Serious doubts about the sustainability of 14 teams. Nagging discomfort about Bradford's clever manipulation of IMG ratings & Odsal optics, but ready to embrace it

I mean, what if Gary Hetherington's speculative punt to get the Broncos into Super League relied totally on today's decision? Apart from some enigmatic words & photo ops with Darren Lockyer, imagine if the promised investment turns a bit 'Salfordy'?

Is it still likely we'll see Siliva Havili and Reagan Campbell-Gillard playing championship rugby league under Jason Demetriou's leadership next season? You'd have to think they were sold a vision which centred around being in Super League.

So who's pre-ordering their Old Trafford tickets for October 2026? Imagine Toulouse & Catalans marching down the tunnel and singing Les Marseillaise to a full house.

Two observations on the announcement of the 14 in Super League. 1. Will we get a detailed breakdown of the rationale behind Caine's panel's decision? 2. Where on earth is the quality of talent coming from to make Bradford, Toulouse and York competitive for the next two seasons.

Not sure it would be fair to promote a club that finished 10th, whose financial Knights in shining armour were only rounded up having found out there was an opportunity opening up. As much as I loudly advocate for London's place at the top table, they currently don't deserve it.

If the Super League Grand Final is like rugby league Christmas Day, then tomorrow on here is going to be like Boxing day, when hungover extended family bicker and fight creating a tense, miserable atmosphere.

The majority of the stuff that seems to warrant a celebration of Bradford, could easily be applied to one or more of their championship rivals. https://t.co/QGCRH91J8D

After 11 years away, fallen giants Bradford Bulls return to Super League in 2026 aiming to rekindle past glories.

This, for example.
Spent many a Monday night at Odsal covering the Championship and can't wait for a return of Bullmania. It might divide opinion, but Bradford is a great club with a loyal following and @SuperLeague has never been the same without them imo. Welcome back 🐮

All of the plaudits being attributed to Bradford Bulls in support of their elevation to Super League could easily be said of many of the other clubs seeking entry. Seriously. Pick any one on your timeline and switch in York, London, Toulouse.

Will this actually prompt some proper scrutiny of the Odsal scandal? The RFL bought the lease for £1.2m (massively above market value), spent £190k/season maintaining the stadium and sold it back to Bradford for £260k (payable over 5 years). Wonder who made those decisions?
CONFIRMED: Bradford Bulls are back in Super League. Clubs have received their IMG gradings and sources are suggesting the Bulls have finished TENTH, above three current Super League clubs. https://t.co/pvdPGF6itj

Could somebody with a large #rugbyleague following in the UK please put a poll out about Bradford apparently securing #12 . I really can't read the reaction to it. Likewise the response after the 13 & 14 announcement

Oldham in for Salford tomorrow. Doncaster and Widnes in via Lord Caine on Friday. Bradford in administration by Monday. NRL Breakaway league announced by Tuesday. You read it here first.

We've had a right old bleat about the rights & wrongs of the IMG/Lord Caine reconstitution of Super League. But probably worth bearing in mind there's the livelihoods of many contracted players hanging in the balance in the next 24-36hrs. Gonna be pretty devastating for some.
