Pipe Scream at Cedar Point has officially been reclassified — no longer counted as a roller coaster and now listed as a thrill ride. Will Surf Dog at Kings Island follow suit?

Alton Towers has finally opened its wooden coaster outside of the main season, bringing it inline with its European competitors. It only took 8 years and Spinball Whizzer being ‘Diva Down’ to happen.

Diva Down: The Scenic Railway at Dreamland Margate has today been confirmed as retired from operation. In a huge blow to coaster fans, this icon of British attractions joins Jetline in reminding us all that we should never take roller coasters for granted.

Jetline was a club favourite, and we have enjoyed no less than seven ERSs on the coaster, as well as multiple opportunities to climb the curved lift hill. This coaster will be sorely missed! 😭

After the tragic incident that occurred in 2023, this photo provided by Martin Cedvander shows that Jetline has been removed from Gröna Lund. This won’t come as welcome news to the many fans of the surprising intensity provided by this classic Zierer / Schwarzkopf coaster.

Magicland in Italy is set to open a new woodie manufactured by Martin & Vleminckx in 2027. MVR are responsible for some of the worlds best wooden coasters, including the legendary Leviathan and Jungle Trailblazer’s. Trip to Rome anyone?
