Well it is that time of the year when our untouchable lauded officials (joke) strut their stuff in the rugby league arena. It now remains to be seen who is their chosen team to emerge with the trophy. I hope that the best team on the day is the winner.

Rugby League. I reported that the Storm wouldn’t make the Grand Final but they did but I am still worried about their attack. The Broncos overcame many difficulties and deserve to be in the final. May best team win

Already I am missing the World Athletic Championships

Rugby league-semi final and Canberra were awful. No aspect of their game was average. Tackling poor, attack poor, ball catching poor and refereeing……guess

Most athletic fans in Oz are talk Gout Gout. Watched his 200 semi final and was impressed. Rough as a gravel road at the start (as he should be at 17 years of age) but showed tenacity in finishing third in his Heat. If he stays with the sport he will learn the skills and polish.

Rugby League. Are RL refs biased. Short answer is YES. They are human and subject to human failings. They have favourite players and favourite teams and the reverse is the case. Sadly there is no answer to this fact.

Rugby League- I am a Melbourne fan and watched Melbourne beat the Bulldogs. To me Melbourne have lost their mojo and I doubt their ability to feature in Grand Final. Their attack had no variety but their defence and luck held.

Rugby league. The bum fiddlers (officials) are busy trying to get their chosen eight over the line for the finals. If the standard of officiating was any lower it would be comparative to making sand castles on the floor of the Challenger Deep.

Rugby League finals- Its getting near finals time and the bum fiddlers (officials) are getting ready to decide the final eight. With all the technology available they continue to make bad calls and then defend those calls. Unbelievable.

Rugby league comment- watched Storm v Roosters go down to wire in an excellent match. The greatest game of all is no more. It’s all about money and it is affecting the game. Also the officiating is full of bum fumblers and it will be they who decide the winner not the players.

Matilda’s soccer-Coach has a lot of work to do. Passing was tentative and poorly directed. The girls struggled against an aggressive team and they didn’t allow the Matilda’s any leeway. Having advised of the negatives I can see the pathway forward is slowly taking some shape

Watched second Matilda’s game which was much better than the first. Matilda’s finishing is not there yet but combinations are looking better. The Slovenian girls also improved and deserved their equalising goal. Better things ahead hopefully.

Watched the Matilda’s game under new coach with new players and new combinations. The girls were often unsure of tactics frequently at sixes and sevens and even eights. The team should improve and look forward reaching new heights. The Slovakian girls were dogged and impressive .

State of Origin rugby league. As an avid Maroons supporter it was nice to see Queensland finish ahead on the scoreboard. I didn’t use the word win as I believe NSW lost the match rather then Queensland winning and the decider in Sydney will be difficult.

Womens SOO. NSW will be hot favourites to win. I believe that QLD will be starting with 12 girls as Ali Brigginshaw did nothing to retain her place. Once she was the games best player but the years have caught up. Prove me wrong Ali

Watching rugby league game Dolphins v Tigers. Rugby League does not have any food referee S but I think I have found the worst of the bad ones. P. Gough is my pick as the worst referee in the game.

Cricket-one of the worst selections of all time in picking Cooper Connelly to open batting. Lots of swings and lots of misses. The only one he hit and then only just , he was dismissed.

I’m a big fan of whiteboards. I find them quite remarkable.

Cricket big bash. Once again the heat ended with a competitive score. However it could have been more but the partnership between reed and alsop destroyed any progress.

Matilda’s outsmarted by an aggressive Brazilian team. The Korean referees were out of their depth and failed to take control of the match.
