Pitch count isn’t the issue, it’s the preparation and prevention. How much have you thrown in the last week? Month? Have you been lifting weights? Eating healthy? Getting enough sleep? Ppl put too much emphasis on pitch counts and not enough on trying to keep their body healthy

BTW. didn’t mean that pitch counts don’t matter, they do. But a lot of players and coaches will be quick to blame a high pitch count/the coach for an injury without first asking what kind of prep work they do each day to prevent injury

@coachsnell521 And I believe it has more to do with the stress level of the pitches thrown and rest periods between innings more than count itself.
