After much thought and reflection, I have made the difficult decision to step down as the Head Varsity Football Coach at Sayville. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the Head Coach for 8 years and work alongside so many dedicated athletes, coaches, and staff members.

Congrats to One of the Greatest Athletes to ever play on Long Island Kyle Messina. Not only a great RB but he is a DOG on defense. Kyle ended his HS Career with 6,374 yards Rushing, 94 rushing TDs and 103 Total TDs. Best part, he is as humble as he is GREAT!.
Sayville's Messina, Floyd's Thomas co-recipients of Joe Cipp Award.Messina ran for 1,756 yards and 26 touchdowns on 190 carries. Thomas ran for 2,594 yards and 37 touchdowns on 298 carries.

I am so proud of our young men at Sayville. Our guys played an almost flawless game to beat a Very good Westhampton Beach Team! Congrats to Westhampton Beach for a terrific season. And to our guys, i am lost for words just so proud of all of you. You definitely tilted!!!!!!.

@NYSPHSAA If we can start practicing sept 21.1st season game Fri Oct 23rd extend season to Dec 11, that would give us a 6 game season and 2 game playoff. I will take it! But would love to end Dec 18th and get 9 games.

Coming from Jack Coan’s High school DC, you will not find a QB in the Country that has his understanding and processing ability pre snap and post snap. Not to mention he is one of the kindest and motivated young men I have coached in 24 years. Good Luck kid!.

I still believe baseball and lax should be moved to the fall. There will be football teams that will not be able to field a team. Most kids and coaches I know are playing fall baseball and fall lax with their travel teams anyway. Lax should not be high risk, if soccer is low?.

@NYSPHSAA @RobertZayasNY Dr. Zayas can outdoor sports be reevaluated and deemed moderate risk? We know more about this virus now then we did when the Governors office identified risk. There is a clear scientific difference now between indoor and outdoor sports!.
