We homeschool our children because they don’t need to spend 7 hours/day in a classroom to receive a great education.
The public school system is not a good model.
Statistics on fatherlessness:

This young boy was adopted today. Life came at him hard. The world pulling him to be another statistic. Not today. His future is bright. Just look at him…
Full of potential. The world in front of him. Ready to fulfill his destiny.
Carry our name well, my son…
@Cobratate
Jesus was the centerpiece of history. He was right about everything. He is the King of all kings and Lord of all lords. Every knee will eventually bow at His name.
We adopted this incredible boy back in April (after being with us two years through the foster care system).
Life came at him hard. The world pulling him to be another statistic. His future is bright. Just look at him. Full of potential. Full of possibility. The world in front…
Confessions of a Homeschooler:
We decided a long time ago that we weren’t going to co-parent/co-educate with the State
We’ve made a lot of bad decisions, but this wasn’t one of them
I encourage all of you that are still on the homeschool fence to go for it
You won’t regret it
Boys comprise 80% of the ADD/ADHD diagnoses. Some are medicating boys as early as kindergarten for lack of focus and always fidgeting. Our boys deserve better.
Listen to this…
Homeschool is designed to protect and prolong that divine spark in children; that raging curiosity; that insatiable hunger for discovery; that heart lost in wonder; that innocent and pure desire to always seek the good, the true, and the beautiful
Every night I read the Little House on the Prairie books to my daughter. It’s a special time that we share together. She’s completely enthralled. Fully engaged in every moment. She begs me to keep reading. “One more page daddy.”
She will forever hear my voice in these stories…
I asked an older gentleman once, “What is your biggest parenting regret now that your kids are adults?"
His response (with tears in his eyes) haunts me and motivates me to this day:
“I wasn't a fun father and they knew it. I wish I had more fun with my kids."
The generalizations about homeschool kids being "freaks" and incapable of "socializing with their peers" is pathetically ignorant
The 5,000,000 (and growing) will be a generation of critical thinking problem solvers that serve and bless their respective communities
5 benefits of homeschooling your kids:
1. No government mandates
2. No government mandates
3. No government mandates
4. No government mandates
5. No government mandates
Bonus:
6. No government mandates
The current homeschool revival isn’t merely about avoiding government overreach…
It’s about reclaiming education (filtering it through the lens of truth, beauty, goodness and virtue) and giving it back to our children
We don’t homeschool our children because it’s easier to control or indoctrinate them…
…we homeschool our children because we delight in them and desire to liberate them to pursue genuine knowledge and happiness in their educational journey
Another reason we homeschool our children:
We can teach them about money, business, horticulture, and self-sufficiency (which is rarely taught in public schools)
A powerful reason to homeschool:
You can give your children an education (and a childhood) built around their unique abilities, talents, passions, interests, and dreams
A few years ago some friends and I were in India walking the streets. I saw a woman on the ground with her grandkids. She was sick, crippled...in excruciating pain.
I felt compelled to approach her and pray for healing, so I did.
She wept as I (and others) prayed.
As I was…
Christian Homeschool Advice:
Don’t be spiritual overlords that create a tense and dry home with no room for mistakes and genuine growth/development
Create a home saturated in truth, beauty, goodness, love, joy, and grace
A joyful family is the antidote to a chaotic world
The people most opposed to guns know the least about guns
The people most opposed to homeschooling know the least about homeschooling
There’s a lesson here
Two of my homeschool posts from this weekend had a lot of engagement.
I found myself getting frustrated at a few people…
I was reminded of this Proverb:
“Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back.” -Proverbs 29:11
It isn’t worth it, friends.
We don’t homeschool our children to shelter them
We homeschool our children to liberate them so they can pursue genuine knowledge and happiness in their educational journey
The current homeschool revival prioritizes children by giving them an education (and childhood) built around *their* unique abilities, talents, passions, interests and dreams…
It’s beautiful
Public School is designed to institutionalize children (and create mass conformity)
Homeschool is designed to liberate children (and create unique individuals)
One sees the collective…
…the other sees the child
I am convinced that the public school system is destroying boys (and masculinity)
Homeschooling filled with the outdoors, hunting, fishing, coupled with a strong classical education is a better way forward

This needs to be a priority. Thank you for shining light on this crisis.
The other day I was at a coffee shop. I could tell the barista making my drink was struggling internally. I frequent that particular coffee shop often, so I've built decent rapport with the staff. She didn't make eye contact and handed me my drink. I just said, "Hey, I just want…
We homeschool to help reduce stress and anxiety in our kids…
Adolescent anxiety/depression/suicide decline during the summer, but researchers found that suicidal tendencies spike at back-to-school time
There's a high correlation between school attendance and suicidal thoughts
Since when was it “privilege” to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to live on one income in order to homeschool your children (and fulfill your wife’s dream of being a homemaker)?
Since when was it “privilege” to want the absolute BEST for your FAMILY?
If THAT’s privilege then sign me up!

@Cernovich
What are you and your colleagues going to do about our border? You’re obsessed with foreign borders, so maybe it’s time to be obsessed with ours?
I believe homeschool and private school (especially through the classical model) is the most effective means for children to learn truth, beauty, goodness, virtue, honor, respect, self-control, honest work, and the purpose of life…
We homeschool because we realized how important it was to protect our children’s hearts and minds…
…and to give them the space and freedom (and familial love and encouragement) needed to appropriately develop a passion for learning
If there was one piece of advice I would give prospective homeschoolers, it would be this:
Saturate your children in classic literature
This is one of the greatest educational gifts you can give them (in my humble opinion)
@Cobratate
Christ is Lord.
”…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” —Philippians 2:10-11
@Cobratate
Confess Him as Lord and King.
Jesus also said:
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”
“I am the bread of life”
“I am the door of the sheep”
“I am the resurrection and the life”
“I am the good shepherd”
“I am the true vine”

You have no idea the work some of us are doing. Because our impact isn’t broadcasted nationally doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. I’ve built two companies along with a nonprofit working tirelessly to fund projects that fight against poverty and human trafficking. Take action.
@Cobratate
You converted to Islam because of how others behaved? How does that square with your message of taking personal responsibility? If you walk away from a religion because of how others acted and not the tenets of the faith, then what was your faith actually built upon? It’s another…
