12 years ago today, my family said goodbye to Pop. He loved the Lord, the game of basketball, the shore, and his family. Following in his footsteps as a teacher and coach is an honor that I’m grateful for daily, especially on the eve of Opening night.
Keeping my Pop in mind today who would be going crazy trying to watch all his grandkids and great grandkids coach, play, manage and even commentate on basketball games all across South Jersey. Hopefully Heaven has good wifi!
It’s official! Alex Odom is officially a Temple Owl! Congratulations to our senior captain! Wishing you the best of luck in the years to come.

4 years ago today, I taught my first ever lesson as a Rowan Student at Kingsway Middle. Crazy that only 4 years later and I’m prepping for my first season as a Varsity coach at the high school! Thankful every day for the opportunity!

Congratulations to Will Pollick on winning this year’s Dragon Award along with many other academic and athletic awards! He has been a tremendous representative of our school and basketball program for the past 4 years.

I don’t think I am being too controversial in saying we need a TriCounty Tournament to be a yearly thing. Combine the A & B brackets and make a 16 team bracket to get a true championship!
Hardest part of the job is saying goodbye to the great young men you get to coach. Tough way to end a great season but the guys fought hard to the end. Congrats to the seniors and best of luck going forward!

Unfortunately, my managers weren’t able to make it tonight. Fortunately enough, I have 3 great Glassboro Hoops managers in the family! Shout out to my younger sisters for helping out and supporting the Dragons!
Final regular season practice in the books! Through the highs and lows, its been a pleasure coaching this group for the past 4 months. Shoutout to our JV guys who brought the intensity every day and focused on getting better!

Season 1 in the books! Lots of ups and downs but even more lessons learned. Thankful for a great coaching staff around me and for my guys that worked hard every day. Class of 2021- it’s your turn now!
Got to celebrate our seniors last night on senior night. Big thank you to our seniors Alex, Kareem, and Sammy for being great examples of hard work and dedication! Can’t forget our great managers, Mia and Taylor, who have been tremendous assets to our program!
Practice has been over for almost 30 minutes, yet Freshman Brandon Jackson and Coach Hellyer are still working. Don’t meet expectations, exceed them.

Couldn’t be more proud of these 3 who got to walk off of their home court for the last time as winners. They have come to practice every day to get better and to compete. Keep an eye out though, they’re not done yet 👀!
Running through some skills stations yesterday at practice. Back at it this morning. Only one week and we will be taking on
@CherokeeBBall
in the Jimmy V Classic!
Big shoutout to Coach Lydon and Coach Pollick on leading the JV and Freshmen teams to convincing wins yesterday!
🏀So. Jourdan Keels had 13pts 6ast and 8stl in a stellar PG performance!
🏀So. Rob Nyameke also added 10pts 11rbs
For any amount of games, any time of year, I am just excited for the opportunity to coach my guys and be around the game. The Dragons will be ready to go!
Huge shoutout to Coach Orth and his Freshmen squad for ending their great 11-5 (8-0 division) season! A great group of young men with very bright futures!

5 Years ago today: The greatest buzzer beater I’ve ever seen. It was a snowy day and we played one of the only games in the area, I know
@kminnicksports
remembers this! Great memories for Coach Healy and me!
The Dragons are back in action at home Tonight vs the Blue Devils of Hammonton. A win will clinch their 3rd straight Tri-County Conference Royal Division Title! Come out and support!

It’s been a pleasure working with
@Coachmrob72
for the past two years! Wishing him the best of luck going forward! Big things on the horizon for the Boys Basketball Program here at Kingsway!
Kingsway Boy's Basketball Coach Robinson Resigns as head basketball coach. Coach Robinson said it's time for him to enjoy his Daughter basketball college career. She will be attending Jefferson U. So Kingsway will be looking for a new head Coach.

Can’t say enough about how proud I am of our guys. Coming back from down 19 after the worst half of the season forced our guys to come together, dig in, and come out with a tough road win. Let’s stay hungry Dragons! 🔴🏀⚫️
The Dragons end the season with a record of 15-12. A very special thank you to seniors: Colin, Jourden, Ryan, Matt, Rob and Managers Carly and Jules! It takes a time to build culture but this Senior group put us on the right path!
WAKE UP! It’s gameday! The Dragons host the Clearview Pioneers tonight at 5:30 pm. Need the

One of the most talented scorers I’ve had the pleasure of coaching!
Learned this lesson the hard way playing pickup with the Rowan team when I was in college. Any opportunity to play ball after high school is a privilege and requires a ton of skill and commitment!

If you play D2 you’re a stud.
If you play D3 you’re a stud.
If you play NAIA you’re a stud.
If you play at a JUCO you’re a stud.
