Note of Thanks! As I was stopped at a school cross walk and watched a cross guard help a group of kids across a busy street when it was 10 outside it made me think. How many people started a cold car, bus or stood in the cold today to help kids learn. Hope your day was a success!

Sad to hear of the passing of Coach Dick Tharp. Coach Tharp was a Class of 1986 IHSFCA Inductee. He won 158 games at Normal Community in 22 years. Thoughts and prayers for his family and Normal school community.
Unit 5 is saddened to share that longtime coach and teacher Dick Tharp passed away Tuesday. The Normal Community football field was named in his honor Friday. Former players visited with Coach Tharp during the festivities, which he called one of the greatest moments of his life.
