I put the ‘ONLY’ there for a reason oh my god I am arguing AGAINST the people who erase YJH’s motivations and make it all about KDJ. Nowhere did I say part of his reason wasn’t KDJ and I sincerely wish you all a very:

The block button used to mean things too, but I guess it’s easier to ignore that just to misconstrue my minor point about the fandom largely ignoring one character’s actions to prop up another in a romantic light that simplifies both of them

TLDR; Yjh did not regress just for Kdj, even if he was the light at the end of a dark, dark tunnel. Kdj’s numerous sacrifices during Yjh’s regressions are just as important for them meeting in 1864, it was in no way a one-man job like the fandom repeatedly makes it sound like.

They’re not wangxian, they’re not hualian (both good ships), and they’re certainly not like the numerous other BL manhwa ships that look similar to them — when isolated from them, it is suddenly a monumental task to analyse your favourite characters based on their own actions.

They (along with Hsy) were suffering, stuck in the loop, and regressing endlessly in different ways. But you love comparing and forcibly fitting their actions into neat moulds shaped like other BL ships,

It’s SO much more complicated than “regressing for love”, which is why this point simplifies him completely. They are life and death companions. I think they deserve to have the things they’ve done discussed as a pair.

So there — anyone who makes a point about Yjh regressing 1864 times only for Kdj is being obtuse or misinterpreting Yjh actions for the sake for shipping them easily, which only serves to make the ship look boring in comparison to the real tragedy of Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk.

SP at this point of time had no idea he’d willingly chosen to regress. He sees a child who desperately needs him and FORGIVES. That’s what liberates him from his regressions, that’s what gives him the happiest closed ending in ORV.

The Oldest Dream was there. He was Right There. Knowingly in the case of 51, or unknowingly in the case of original OD (who could’ve been 51, anyway), SP acknowledges that his sponsor was responsible for ensuring his survival, whether he wanted it or not.

Kdj himself HAD to be there to hold his hand and give him some hope of better times to come. And it works. The best part about him (that drew Kdj to him) is how he can get back up, even while being on death’s door.

It just makes it more interesting that he had to be shown an ideal world to find the strength to regress again! There was no memory he could fall back into the comfort of to regress again, because he doesn’t fucking remember his sponsor.
