The article is LOADED with coded terms of Shaduer and his father being over the top, not "respecting The Shield" or the NFL, being too MUCH. That's some racist bullshit. NO ONE that I recall said that shit when a WHITE QB from a WHITE legacy football family pulled the same shit.

I'm NOT even interested in the NFL anymore, but this Atlantic article saying NFL experts looked poorly on the concept of Shadeur "pulling an Eli" really glosses over the FACT that they have way less respect for a brown player trying that vs a white one.

My real answer is … my wife asked me (when I was struggling to figure out my writing life) . “why don’t you write comics, you’re the biggest nerd I know.”. And she’s a HUGE NERD. (To this day she swears she doesn’t remember this. I will never forget it, she’s amazing!).
