Infrastructure is at a crossroads. Complexity is accelerating. Talent is scarce. Teams are stretched. And the bar for velocity, governance, and scale has never been higher, but keeps getting higher & higher. Congrats to the entire team at @spaceliftio πŸ‘.

AI Coding Best Practices start with .- DON'T Trust AI.- Ask AI to walk you through what it did.- Always test everything .- Use thinking models .- Keep the codebase small .- Don't assume you'll always use the same agent/model. More πŸ‘‡.

"Network is boring, but not with AI," isn't it?. AI-related traffic generation is occurring within data center fabrics, interconnected links, and traffic demand, driving significant investments in building out new & updating legacy data center locations.

GKE Insights and recommendations feature provides a way to detect early when etcd is nearing it’s capacity and offers you a way to remediate that, Is Azure/AWS has the same functionality? .

Where/ which use case, do you think that each container is its own VM is a better approach to what already exists. Hope you like this 🧡 informative . More:.

And to be very clear, Apple Container Framework has a command: $ container system start This doesn't launch a VM! This launches the host's API server. Then when you launch a container it launches a VM. (6/6).

Neither contains a full distro. No systemd or any such thing. Importantly, don't use or require KVM. Instead run paravirtualized hypervisor below the host OS, allowing you to run without the need for nested virtualization, bringing hypervisor-isolated containers anywhere. (5/5).

Apple's vminitd is equivalent to Edera's protect-zone init system. What I've heard is written in Rust, Apple's in Swift. Edera adds a whole bunch of extra production features including observability, management, and kernels/drivers as OCI images. (4/4).

This strategy isn't easy. It's relatively high-level and known how to proxy something like a Docker socket from a VM that's what Docker Desktop do. It's not super well-known & very low level to run a container per VM Like Edera, Apple chose to use a tiny init inside the VM. (3/3).

With Apple Container Framework, each container is it's own VM. This increases security and can increase performance. Strategy is also used at Edera ( b/c it provides significant opportunities on the performance, integration security of your infra (2/2).

In Docker Desktop/colima/lima/Rancher Desktop today a single VM runs all of your containers. Do you like the idea of each container with its own VM. This increases security and can increase performance. Enter Apple Container Framework πŸ‘‡.

Imagine this: our cluster autoscaler spun up 100 nodes, didn’t schedule a single workload, and then promptly deleted them, leaving us with a $10K cloud bill. WDYT this happen, and how would you prevent it?".
