Alright i'll talk about it. Crosshair is obviously an exceptional marksman, as shown earlier in the episode when he shot down Hera's ship after collecting the weapons from the Batch. So why is he suddenly missing his shots here? Short answer: self-deprecation, guilt and longing.

"We didn't have a choice" "and i did?" Is one of my favourite exchanges between hunter & crosshair because both are correct in their stances. Hunter didn't have a choice, and neither did crosshair.

So yes. His chip IS removed. He WILLINGLY stays with the Empire. I've made plenty of threads about him and his decision to stay so i will not beat the dead horse. But people need to not act as if these decisions were not made of his own volition. They were.

Especially on Ryloth when he asked Rampart to hunt them down he does NOT look happy about it. No enhanced chiphair is gonna look and act like this. This is HIM.

From pre-bracca to post-bracca there is a behavioural difference for crosshair if you're paying attention. Yes, his chip was enhanced beyond that of a normal clones beforehand, but after bracca it is clear it's no longer there. It seems his aggression turns into melancholy and
Not the Crosshair fascist analogy in 2026 ๐ญ๐ญ Like yeah he did awful things while working for the empire but he was still under the influence of the chip which was intensified, no wonder he was suicidal in season 3
