With many @AustinISD students living in food-insecure households, access to healthy food may be challenging when the district is closed. Families can use community resources to find free meals in their area while Austin ISD offices and schools are closed for the fall break.

Our favorite part was listening to student commentary…especially after the #FickleFingerOfFate struck them with new car tire, a sick family member, and a nephew trying to sell them magazine subscriptions 😫. Our staff and volunteers did a great job upselling students 😂

Some of our #CulinaryArts Practicum students have adopted 2 @atxfreefridge to support neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Students developed nutrient dense recipes that are easy to scale & created meal bags w/ recipes from donated canned goods. @Secondary_AISD @AISD_CTE
